Catherine Jordan

Catherine was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and moved to the west side in 2020 after completing a 2-year certificate program for landscape and nursery management at Michigan State University. Prior to working for VWM, she was the perennial manager in a wholesale greenhouse for 3 years. Part of Catherine’s homesteading dream is to someday open and run a cut flower farm, specializing in dahlias.

Catherine has spent multiple summers working for a bible camp in Alaska and loves serving in this capacity. She loves traveling to new places (especially mountains!) and hiking wherever and whenever possible. Don’t ask for pictures of her travels unless you’re prepared to be there awhile!

When she’s not at the office, Catherine enjoys jigsaw puzzles, cooking new foods, playing in the dirt, and spending time with family, friends and her significant other, Adam. In previous autumn months, they have worked together part time for an agritourism farm: keeping up with the handyman duties, making bonfires, and driving antique tractors for hayrides. Catherine has also taught line dances for some of the barn dances!
